Many internet users use very different web browser types, that is why the importance of cross browser compatibility needs to be considered when you have your website designed.

Lots of designers nowadays continue to build sites which are good viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer. These websites usually look very different if you open them with FireFox (or Opera), with Firefox being a commonly used browser it's important to consider how your website looks in it.

Working with good design practices and code techniques, it's possible to design a website that is compatible with several browsers, such as Opera, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape...

As a site owner you should always ask your designer to create a cross-browser compatible website. I create cross-browser compatible websites and test them on several web browsers such as Internet Explorer (versions 6 and 7), Mozilla Firefox (versions 2 and 3), Opera (9), Netscape. You can rely on me to get your website done quickly and well viewed in the most common used web browsers.
